Katelyn & Matt’s wedding was an absolute JOY to be a part of! From the number of sweet family and friends that were incredibly supportive of their day to the beautiful venue they chose, everything had the hallmark of Katelyn and Matt. Our day began with all the ladies getting prepared together. I remember entering the room when Katelyn was just wrapping up her finishing touches and the overall energy was so relaxed. Katelyn and her Mom, Sister, Grandmother, and close friends were enjoying this time while getting ready to celebrate Katelyn’s special day.
Something I enjoy is capturing the special relationships between family members and the Bride or Groom. On this day Katelyn’s Grandmother had an heirloom garter to pass along that she had worn on her wedding day, along with an embroidered handkerchief. Something borrowed and blue, check off the list!
Katelyn and Matt opted to have a First Look before their ceremony which something that I always encourage. There are several reasons for this but the biggest one is the fact that the Bride and Groom have private time before the ceremony to really stop and take in, together, what the next few hours will bring. The Groom has just a few moments to see his Bride coming down the aisle before jumping right into the ceremony and a First Look allows that moment to be drawn out so that it can be truly appreciated and remembered.
Katelyn & Matt,
Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to capture your precious day beginning your journey as husband and wife. The adventures that await you are endless and you will conquer all of them together!
XOXO- Meridith
