Andrea & Ben

Weddings

The first time I got to talk to Andrea she shared with me how she and Ben met through their mutual friends. They met on the beach in 2014 thanks to some sweet friends and that’s when their long distance courtship began! In 2017 Ben proposed to Andrea while on a trip to Savannah, GA and soon after they moved together to Richmond, VA to begin planning their wedding and new lives together!

The couple chose  The Linden Row Inn as their venue and it was a perfect fit for them. So much historic elegance seated on the corner of East Franklin St, it was the setting for one of the most beautiful & fun celebrations I have been to!

The couple exchanged gifts before the ceremony which I happily curried between the getting ready areas for the Bride and Groom. Ben gifted Andrea a classic pearl earring and necklace set as well as a diamond channel set bracelet. He really knows his soon to be wife’s elegant taste. Andrea gave Ben a very special stout beer as they both share a deep appreciation for unique beers.

The dress Andrea choose was absolutely made just for her. She was able to find her wedding gown at Dillards and its demure style fit her to a T. Seeing her parents before the ceremony was such a sweet site. They love her very much and were very excited for her and Ben’s big day.

The wedding ceremony was set to take place in the courtyard of the Inn and because there was a threat of rain they were able to accommodate large tents to keep all the guests dry. Thankfully the rain held off and we had some really great weather!

Ben & Andrea exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony with their family and friends. It’s always a challenge for me not to get caught up in the emotions of the ceremony when I’m shooting. I’m constantly wiping the happy tears away so I can see clearly through my view finder!! Their ceremony was no exception.

Downtown Richmond has some of the most gorgeous streets that were the perfect setting for bridal portraits for the newlywed couple and their bridal party. Flowers in full bloom and low hanging fairytale tree branches made this part of the day a breeze! Andrea had mentioned she really liked the doors along the street so we made sure to pop in the frame of one for some magazine worthy images 🙂

The reception was everything a celebration should be. The crowd that Andrea & Ben attract are some of the most fun loving people I’ve met. I think we could have stayed at the Inn all night and the energy level would have never dropped.

But just like all momentous occasions they ultimately have to come to an end. And this night ended with a boisterous group of family & friends lining the sidewalk to give the couple the perfect send off! Congratulations Andrea & Ben, you two are a match for sure!!
