Carley & Marc, Norfolk Botanical Gardens Engagement

Engagements

Carley & Marc first contacted me to be their engagement photographer. Carley was very candid by telling me Marc was not a fan of having his picture taken and she wanted to fix this, quickly. This was music to my ears as I firmly believe that is the main reason to have an engagement session. They both have an appreciation for design and greenery so the botanical gardens was the perfect location for them.

These two share a very special love story. They have known each other since their first day of High School and they have been almost inseparable ever since. What began as a very good friendship developed into real love for one another. This was discovered when Carley unexpectedly lost her Dad and Marc was right by her side to comfort her and her family. As one journey had ended theirs had just begun and they hadn’t even graduated from High School yet.

Six years later Marc proposed to Carley while on vacation at Smith Mountain Lake. It was a wonderful surprise shared with their dear friends while at dinner together. Her engagement ring is now the heirloom ring that belonged to her mother. It has her Mom & Dad’s initials engraved on the inner band. They have planned a beautiful wedding to happen in October of 2022 at the newest Virginia Beach wedding venue, “The Venue” at Denali Jean Ranch. As we left the session I recall Marc saying “this wasn’t as bad as I thought!”. Needless to day, mission accomplished and I’m now their wedding photographer!
