Sarah & Jeremy had been planning, like many couples, to have their dream wedding and then the Pandemic happened. They were lucky enough to be able to host an intimate downtown Norfolk wedding at the Town Point Club while staying within the acceptable limits of gatherings on their wedding day. To say that nothing was going to stop them from being married is an understatement. Not even the rain could ruin this most important day for them.
The day began with Sarah & her mother getting ready at the Hilton Main Hotel across the street from the Town Point Club. Since there was a typical Fall drizzle/rain forecasted I came prepared with two clear umbrellas, a must for any wedding photographer who doesn’t live in the desert! Sarah & Jeremy had planned for a First Look before their ceremony but it was raining. The hotel was gracious enough to allow us to use their very well lite lobby and it was a perfect location for their first interaction of the day!
After a very special ceremony officiated by Sarah’s Dad the couple had the opportunity to take portraits with all of their guests, a perk of having an intimate wedding! Then it was time to step outside for Mr. & Mrs. portraits on the patio of the club. The rain was present again but that wasn’t stopping us, enter the magic of clear umbrellas! I love the metropolitan, downtown feel we were able to capture on their wedding day.
