A treasure nestled right on the Hague river in downtown Norfolk, the Chrysler Museum lends itself to a romantic backdrop for an engagement session. Here are a few reasons why I love this location as an option for engagement sessions for my clients. The first is the metropolitan feel that is achieved by the buildings architecture. With gorgeous alabaster stone walls and oversized windows it’s romantic without even trying. I tend to lean towards environments that allow my clients to be the focus of their images but still compliments the story we want to tell. The Chrysler Museum does exactly that.
The museum has a lovely, private garden complete with a wishing fountain to the side. During the warmer months the garden is lush with greenery and blooming flowers. This provides the perfect variation for my clients especially when opting for an outfit change.
The front of the building has stunning, oversized stone arches and slate walkways. The light is just perfect as the sun sets over the Hague as it bounces off the reflective stone and creates beautiful skin tones for my clients. Again this location gives a lovely romantic and neutral backdrop to highlight my clients.
The final attribute for this stunning engagement location is the green lawn and magnolia tree that are right in front. Just as the sun drops below the trees lining historic Ghent, my clients now have a fourth location option within just steps of where we started their session.
The timelessness and romance of this building make it the perfect location for your engagement session! In addition the Chrysler is the perfect location to have your wedding! Be sure to check out their wedding package offerings, their most popular is Huber Court.
