Lindsay & Anthony’s Wedding, Virginia Contemporary Museum of Art

Weddings

Lindsay & Anthony’s wedding day was technically my first full wedding of 2020. I’m sure that’s all I really have to say for you to understand that 2020 and the wedding world have not exactly seen eye to eye. On top of a global pandemic there were rain bands of a hurricane rolling through Virginia Beach on their day and that just meant we had to be extra creative with planning out their timeline. Lindsay began with getting ready in a beach house in nearby Croatan with her family and bridesmaids alongside. Her sweet niece and nephew excitedly sharing in the fun with her. Along with her dress and sandals, she wore her grandmother’s ring and a cuff bracelet that matched her bridesmaids.

Lindsay also had a First Look with her Dad which is always so sweet, the tears always get me!

L & A wanted to a first look and since we had rain coming we opted to do this under the nearby Rudee Inlet bridge where artisans have painted beautiful, vibrant murals. It was a perfect backdrop for them and their bridal party.

Before making our way to the MOCA we stopped at one of their favorite murals in the Vibe district.

They incorporated many traditions into their wedding ceremony that allowed family members to participate as well. Unity candle, Veil, Cord, Coins and Bible were all completed by Lindsay and Anthony’s siblings and additional family members. Lindsay’s brother-in-law was their officiant and did an amazing job.

L&A met at a race they were both running in with their friends and have continued to share a passion for running together. Their reception seating was styled around this love of running by naming each table a race they have run together.

Lindsay & Anthony, I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed getting to know and serve you both over the last several months. Your wedding day was absolutely perfect and it was my joy and honor to capture it for you! Nothing can stand in the way of real love and your wedding day was the ultimate reflection of that.
